Our Philosophy

The aim at Haywood oaks is to provide a happy, caring safe and companionable home for our residents, where independence and individuality are encouraged and respected.

The particular care needs of each resident will be assessed and updated regularly and a plan made for the care of each resident. Residents will be consulted and will have thir say in what care they need or want. We aim to support and encourage each resident to maintain their interests, follow their religion, whether by church attendance or by visits from the minister, to join in activities, visit their friends and relatives and to personalize their own rooms as much as possible. They may decide for themselves whether to join in activities, and when they wish to get up and go to bed. We will give support and assistance in the taking of medications and with bathing, using the toilet and general mobility. We will provide nutritious food and cater for individual likes and dislikes. We aim to provide a homely, friendly, safe and comfortable home for our residents, where visitors are always welcome.

We will always respect the dignity and privacy of each of our residents, and ensure that their rights, and their independence are maintained. We are always available to hear suggestions from residents or their friends or families and to attend promptly to any problem which may arise.
