Catering
There is always a good variety of home cooked food, and we can accommodate personal likes and dislikes. Meals can be prepared for individual dietary requirements .
Meals can be served in the dining room or in your own room if you prefer.
You can also have breakfast in bed whenever you wish.
The care home has a 5 star rating for its quality kitchen and food service.
Health Care
You can choose your own GP, and visits for dental care, chiropody, physiotherapy, etc.., are all arranged for you as needed. Of course we will assist you with your medicines if you wish. We do not have a nurse on site but the home is visited by the local district nurse on a regular basis
Visists by the GP can be arranged on a daily basis, if needed.
Visits by the District Nurse are arranged as needed.
Visists by the chiropodist is arranged on a 8 weekly basis.
Leisure
There is regulare entertainment organised at the home. There are books, TVs*, LCD TV's*, magazines, games, etc.. available. Hovever, there is no pressure to join in any activites and your wish for peace and privacy is always respected.
Trips are arrange throughtout the year.
Singers and church visiting monthly.
* All Tv's are available with freeview channels.
Hairdresser
The hairdresser visits weekly. You can arrange with her for whatever you want. Or your own hairdresser can visist if you wish.
Visits by the Hairdresser are arranged as needed.
Religeous Services
Minister of religion are welcome to visit the home to talk to residents and conduct service for those who wish to join in.
Pets
If you wish to bring a per, please talk to us first about it. Residents are welcome to bring pets if they can be accommodated satisfactorily. The same applies to visitors bringing pets - they are welcome as long as they are not a dangerto other residents or staff.
